
Ebbe Christensen

Ebbe Christensen has spent the past 25 years in the North American access industry, specializing in bringing niche products to the market. In 2000 he started ReachMaster,Inc. in Texas on behalf of Falcon Lifts in Denmark, and launched their line of compact aerial lifts, the so-called “spider lifts” which was invented by the Danish company. He later also took over distribution of Denka Lifts in North America, and in 2012 he bought ReachMaster Inc. out from its owner.
Over the next 8 years ReachMaster Inc. facilitated the entry to the US markets for numerous brands like Hinowa (now JLG), Bluelift, Dino Lift, PB Lift, Almac Crawlers, Winlet and Ruthmann.
In 2020 he sold ReachMaster Inc. to German Ruthmann and continued as the President and CEO for Ruthmann ReachMaster until 2024. He has since then worked as consultant to international companies seeking a foothold in the North American market, continuing pioneering new and safer access technology in the market.
He has been an active member of industry organizations, including IPAF where he has served as past Chair of IPAF North American Regional Council and continues to work on the council. He is an experienced speaker and presenter at events and has a passion for the access and material handling industries. In 2024 he was the recipient of the IPAF/ALH Person of the Year Award at the Working at Height conference.
Before entering the access industry, he specialized in bringing European companies and technology to North America and has established and served as President and CEO of several subsidiaries of international companies in the US, as well as owned and operated his own international consulting companies. He started his career in international shipping and logistics in his native Denmark, until embarking on a career in the US in 1989
He holds a degree in International Business and Marketing from Copenhagen Business School in 1987. He now calls Texas (Houston area) home, and when not pioneering aerial access technology, he can be found either in the garage working on his collection of classic cars or in the kitchen, enjoying his strong interest for gastronomy and wines.
